seasons greetings! this was all written on my phone because i’m out for the holidays. i just needed to get some points across, quickly.
the winter solstice is on the 21st of december. this marks the shortest day of the year, and the moment when the sun will come back into our lives, gradually. until the spring equinox (equinox=equal day and night hours), nights are longer than days. so, the winter solstice is a symbol of welcoming the sun back into the northern hemisphere.
in christian faiths, the son of god is born on christmas, coincidentally close to the winter solstice. this is a celebration of life and peace on earth. jesus was born with a message to spread peace and joy to everyone alive. it’s a symbol of the promise of life, like the promise of the sun coming back every year. the date of easter, or rebirth of the sun, typically falls around the equinox, when days become longer than nights, and life triumphs over death.
jesus is not a capricorn. it is actually considered unethical by the ISAR guidelines to speculate jesus’s birth chart. while jesus was historically a real person, he is a religious icon and it’s blasphemous to be like “jesus was suuuch a capricorn he started work at such a young age*~”.
however, if we are going to assign jesus to a sun sign: because of the procession of the equinoxes and the symbols of fish and washing of feet, astrologers have always more closely associated him with the sign of pisces. the spring equinox, the beginning of the tropical zodiac at 0° aries, was a little earlier back then.
jesus might not be a capricorn, but coca cola’s invention of santa sure is. he’s making a list, checking it twice and then giving all of the people who don’t meet the standards coal. it’s pretty saturnian. santa is pretty much a symbol for material indulgence and a little treat, a moment of reaping the benefit of everything that’s been sowed throughout the year.
Jesus was martyred as the Lamb of God (♓︎) and then returns as the ram of God (♈︎).
Revelation 1:14-16 NLT
His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were like flames of fire. His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice thundered like mighty ocean waves. He held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp two-edged sword came from his mouth. And his face was like the sun in all its brilliance. …
