i think you are correct in pointing out free will/determinism is the crux of it. i’m very careful to avoid prognostication - except in a archetypally predictive way (not typally predictive).
i mean the positions of the planets are highly typally predictive, but their meanings remain in potential until actualized.
i feel that man was infantile and prohibited from messing around with these esoteric mechanisms, but now for the believer we are allowed to carefully explore them.
is Thy Will be done fate? free will is already problematic for many of faith but Jesus said we shall do greater things than he - though he only sought to do the Father’s Will.
