The new moon begins the next episode of your life’s story. You are co-authors with G*d.
Over the past two lunar cycles I have developed an exercise to put astrology to use in the most populist, sane, and useful way that I can imagine. Combining my years of experience in astrological consultations, horoscopic delineations, screenwriting coursework, and humble prayer, I’ve come up with this method to unearth the truth about astrology. That is, all relevant information that the stars could possibly reveal to you, already exists in your heart.
This is something I vibed with, from German astrologer Hans Hinrich Taeger’s Astro-Trips: Aspekte spiritueller Astroenergetik:
Eine übertriebene Theoretisierung und Verwissenschaflichung der Astrologie resultiert aus der Angst, den Realitäten astroligischen Seins ins Auge zu schauen. Astrologie ist die Lehre über die dynamischen Wecheselspiele des Lebems im Spiegel kosmischen Geschehens und kein totes Objekt lebensfiendlicher Gelehrsamkeit.1
And so, I am much more comfortable with my role as a guide, rather than a force. I am proud of the system I’ve come up with in Lunar Notes, and I’m happy to share the activity with you all here.
In the following video, I guide you through the exercise of using astrology to write your life’s narrative. At the end of the video, I provide my take on the Virgo new moon, with some political astrology for what’s going on in Berlin/Germany/globally. Please let me know what you think, and I’ll likely be back for the new moon in Scorpio in November, skipping over eclipse season in October.
I trust God, and the show must go on, but I would be a silly astrologer not to take a break from all things extracurricular during the eclipses. Also it will be my birthday and I have about four to six jobs at the moment— hustling hard so I can afford send my Scottish Fold to college one day. So, enjoy it while it lasts, and have a good September.
An excessive theorization and scientization of astrology results from the fear of facing the realities of astrological existence. Astrology is the study of the dynamic interplay of life in the mirror of cosmic events and not a dead object of life-loving scholarship.
